Imagine your muscles constantly receiving messages from your nerves to contract or tighten. Botox blocks these messages, so the muscle relaxes and the wrinkles soften.

At La Cara Aesthetic, we prioritise quality and safety, using only the best products for our treatments. For our anti-wrinkle treatments, we use two main products: Allergan Botox and Merz Bocouture. Both of these products allow us to provide you with safe, effective treatments tailored to your needs. During your consultation, we can discuss these options in more detail and decide which product best fits you.

The results of botulinum toxin treatments typically last between three to six months. However, this can vary depending on several factors, including your skin type, treated area, and the specific product used. We will discuss this with you at the initial consultation.

The effects of this treatment are not permanent. As the botulinum toxin wears off, the muscles will gradually return to their normal function, and wrinkles may begin to reappear. Regular follow-up treatments help maintain the desired results.

Suitability for Botox injections can vary depending on individual circumstances. However, individuals in their 30s to 50s are typically good candidates, as they may have moderate facial wrinkles that Botox can effectively treat.

Patients should not have any neuromuscular disorders, be pregnant or breastfeeding, or have a known allergy to any Botulinum toxin ingredients. Please let me know if you have any specific concerns or conditions, and I can provide more tailored information.

Typically, there is minimal to no downtime after Botox injections, allowing most patients to return to their normal activities immediately. Some common side effects include slight bruising or redness at the injection site, which are generally mild and temporary. It’s advisable to avoid strenuous activities for a short period after the treatment to allow the Botox to settle and minimise the risk of spreading to other areas.

Results from Botox injections typically become noticeable within a few days after the treatment. The full effect of Botox is usually seen within 1 to 2 weeks. Results can vary from person to person based on factors such as the area treated and the individual’s muscle strength.
