About Jac Sherwood
I am an NMC-registered nurse with over 15 years of experience, including more than a decade in critical care, where I worked as an ICU Sister, caring for patients in the most demanding medical environments. I hold a First-Class Honours Degree in Intensive Care Clinical Practice from the University of Brighton and the V300 Independent Prescribing qualification from the University of Portsmouth.
My background in critical care nursing has shaped my meticulous approach to safety, precision, and patient care. At La Cara Aesthetics, I bring this expertise to every treatment, ensuring natural, balanced results while prioritising your well-being and comfort.
My Aesthetic Journey
My journey in aesthetics began in 2016, and since then, I have undertaken extensive training across a wide range of treatments, including dermal fillers, botulinum toxin, and advanced skin therapies. I hold the OTHM Level 7 Diploma in Clinical Aesthetic Injectable Therapies, supporting a high standard of patient care, safety, and clinical practice.
I remain committed to ongoing professional development as a fully insured, JCCP-registered practitioner and member of BAMAN (British Association of Medical Aesthetic Nurses). I regularly train with leading UK aesthetic academies, manufacturers and industry experts, attend conferences, and stay up to date with the latest techniques and evidence-based approaches.
Alongside my clinical work, I also work as an Aesthetic Trainer with Derma Institute in London, supporting the training and development of medical professionals entering the aesthetics field.
